The hash this Sunday will be out in the James D. Kennedy Memorial State Forest, otherwise known as “up behind Greek Peak”. Your hares will be Toothy Lunker and hare virgin Helen Yeller.
It will take around a half hour to get to trail from Ithaca, but don’t worry your lovely hares will be sure to make it worth the trip!
To get there take RT 13 North out of Ithaca to Dryden (FYI Dryden is a speed trap). At the light in downtown Dryden go straight onto Rt 392 to Virgil. At the stop sign in Virgil turn right (toward Greek Peak), and just as you are leaving Virgil take another right onto Van Donsel Rd. The hash will be starting on Van Donsel probably 2 to 3 miles from Virgil. The road will turn into a dirt/gravel seasonal road, which I drove me mini-van on so keep going. We will mark HHH on the road. If you could car pool, it would make parking easier.
This hash will be very dog friendly. We are planning a few Turkey/Eagle splits, so bring out the virgins!
Finally and most importantly, is there any hash beer out there? If so, will YOU be bring it to the hash?
See you Sunday at 3 pm,
