A Drinking Club with a Running Problem
Hey Folks,
The Anal Beaster Egg Hunt is THIS Saturday at 3:00 PM HST. The start will be in the parking lot of the sledding hill at Taughannock Falls State Park. Here is a link to a map on MapQuest:
Looking at the map….the parking lot is about 200 or so yards SouthEast of the STAR on the map. Basically….it’s right at the edge of the shaded area depicting the boundaries of the park.
From Ithaca, head North on Rt 89 and go past the South entrance, over the bridge, past the North entrance and then take your first LEFT off of Rt 89 onto Taughannock Park Rd. Proceed up the hill and take your SECOND RIGHT turn (the first one is about a 100 yards or less after turning off of Rt. 89) onto Rice Rd. The parking lot will be less than a half mile up the road on the right.
From points North of the park, get on Rt. 89 and follow it South to the park. As you are coming down the hill, you will see the sledding hill on your right just after you enter the 40 MPH speed zone. Take your very next right…and then right again at the stop sign. You are now on Taughannock Park Rd. Take your next right again and you’re on Rice Rd. I think you can handle it from there…. :o)
The weather isn’t going to be our friend on Saturday. The temperature is supposed to be in the 30’s and there’s a chance of snow.

LOA and I promise you a fun trail with lots of neat little surprises. The trail will be walkable for those who want to. It will be in the neighborhood of about 2 miles….but no more than 3. It will be dog friendly as well. Kids are welcome too. However, please keep in mind that we will be looking for hidden adult beverages….OK….BEER!!!!!….and Easter Eggs. Though edible….the items in the eggs MAY raise some questions from more observant kids. ;0).

PS: Some of our visitors may wish to spend the night. Unfortunately, LOA and I aren’t in a position to provide crash space this time. However, if there are other hashers in Ithaca that can…please respond to this group so that you can make arrangements off-list. Thanks!
PSS: Since there hasn’t been much discussion on-list about WHICH weekend we should choose for our Ithaca Camping Weekend this summer…..we should discuss it in circle at the Hash because we really need to get going on this if we’re to pull it off.
