A Drinking Club with a Running Problem
The threat of rain and thunder storms couldn’t keep loyal hashers from running around on Sunday. It turned out to be a great day for hashing (isn’t it always thought?). We had the best attendance record of any hash yet. Far too many people to name names. While the hashers mingled and waited for the BLAB’s to arrive they were entertained by a car load of drunk minors. They were truly hasher material, however all they just used us for was our cigarettes and beer. Running was completely out of the question. The last of the socials were finished and off we went! Through bushes and trees and shrubs…The group quickly split up. Forest Hump led the way of the FRB in full force. He went whistling through the woods leaping and dogging shiggy with ease. The rest of us took a slow but steady pace thus enjoying the beautiful scenery that 1/2 Monty brought us through. Despite the vast number of people there surprisingly were only 2 dogs there. Hershey and Nygel found relief numerous times in the many water pools that were around. Then the torturous part of the trail came upon us. A large tree had fallen in the woods (and none of us heard it) that bridged one path with the other. Cautiously one by one like lemmings we ascended this balance beam. We were off again and didn’t lose anyone! Well we weren’t too sure about our musical FRB since his little whistle couldn’t be heard anymore. There was an evil back check 16 plotted in the trail, but some hounds were able to sniff it out without getting caught on it. Alas, our romp through the woods ended. We returned to the ONIN to see our minors passed out by the cars. By the time we got the circle underway, however, they were up and chugging with us! What sports! Among the memorable down downs were our hare, Monty, our whistling FRB- Forest Hump (who also won the Klutz award for falling numerous times on trail. He later dropped, broke and then lost it the award), DWH for being the BLAB, Ball Wrinkle (decked out in his Krispy Kream hat) and Releash Me drank for something, but my memory starts going at this point. And our Bobbit was Hung Man. Songs, Stories and beer flowed into the night… It was a hash enjoyed by many.
Just a reminder that in two weeks (9/9) will be the Anniversary Party hash given by LOA and RM
